Set against the stunning backdrop of the Cheviot Hills on the Scottish Borders, the British National Ploughing Championships & Country Festival promises a fantastic weekend celebrating Britain's farming heritage, machinery, skills and rural traditions.
Held on 250 acres of farmland generously provided by D Harvey & Son, this prestigious two-day event brings together the country's finest ploughmen and women, alongside an outstanding range of demonstrations, displays and attractions for all ages.
Around 250 ploughmen and women from throughout Great Britain are expected to take to the fields, demonstrating their skill, precision and expertise across 15 championship classes, using everything from modern tractors to vintage machinery and traditional horse-drawn ploughs.
In six of the championship classes, the excitement builds on Sunday with the Plough-Off Finals, when the top 10 competitors from each class on the Saturday battle it out for the British Championship titles. The weekend will culminate in the crowning of the Supreme Champion, with competitors also selected to represent England at the 2028 World and European Ploughing Championships.
Whether you're passionate about ploughing or simply curious to see this remarkable skill in action, it's a unique opportunity to witness competitive ploughing at the highest level.
